Yes we are still here...

First and foremost for me (aside from the above mentioned idleness) was the recent breakup between myself and my fiance the lovely Josephine, whos words and likeness have graced these pages many times in the past. I wont go into the details but as you can see there are no hard feelings and I wish her all the best.
So what have I been up to since then? The internet might run out of space if I were to recount all of my recent adventures so I'll try and keep things concise.
- Moved in with some friends in Grey Lynn who were conveniently looking for a flatmate.
- Rediscovered my love of running, but this time have also discovered weights and Pilates. It seems to be a great combination as my fitness and physique have improved dramatically since. Its also great on those days when its too wet and cold to go out running to have something to fall back on. =)
- As a result of all this exercise (and not living with a food fanatic) I have been discovering my own style of cooking. It may not be marketable (yet) but it is tasty nutritious and filling.
- I've spent a good deal of time developing new friendships with a huge range of people in all sorts of unfamiliar situations which has been incredibly personally satisfying. One such friendship led me to spend a super-long-weekend in Christchurch and surrounds. It was my first time deciding for myself to travel (having in recent years only flown to Fiji for my dear brothers wedding) and I thoroughly enjoyed every challenge along the way. So much so that the day I returned I commited myself to further travelling and have since aquired a credit card (the horror!) and booked a flight to Sydney in June.
Along the way I have adopted a couple of catch phrases which have not only helped picked me up when feeling down but thrown me out the front door too...
"Live no one day without an adventure" - Me
"It's a great day to be me" - Church - Red vs BlueSaid under the breath at least once a day (people get tired of hearing how great you are if you say it out loud) these sayings can propel you towards many wonderful new experiences.
Thats all from me for now.
