For the ultimate in monogrammed underpants...

I thought I might try to customize the blog's design a bit by adding the family crest to the banner. Does anyone know if this is the right one?
Almost all the variations I found bore the black chevron(?) on a white background but I couldn't be too sure of details due to the number of dubious sources. Did you know you can get any noble crest you want printed a pair of gumboots, babies bibs and even thongs. Yes thongs! And not the type you wear on your feet either. (Well probably those too but that's beside the point) I'm sorry but I don't get it. I thought the whole point of going to the trouble of getting a crest thrown together by ye local artisan, was so that people would see it, recognise your family and respond with the appropriate expressions of respect and or fear etc. Now I'm not an expert in marketing but seriously, thongs?

Jewel of the East

David and Josephine attending the 2004 St Cuthbert's College Ball
It's a ahame about the quality of this picture but we both like it. Josie looked stunning (more so than usual - if that's possible) and we both would have had to submit to the security check at the door if I hadn't brought my Staff ID.
It was a wonderful night. The College had been transformed into an oasis of the magnificent Far East. In the main hall there was music, dancing, and a dozen video projectors providing a dazzling light show. When our old bones needed resting (it was a high school ball after all, so anyone over 20 was considered old) there was good food and wine in the staff room, someone had wheeled in a big screen tv so no one would miss the big game and Christine Fletcher was running around tidying up our dishes.
We missed out this year but I can't imagine it being any more magical than the last one.

My Princess (and soon to be my bride)
This was just a bit of fun while playing around with Photoshop. See the girl with the crown? Thats actually not the girl who was in the movie. I know! It's almost impossible to tell but if you look closely you will notice the regal demeanour you only ever get from real true blue royalty, never from people who are acting or just pretending.

Here is the original photo of Josie in Paihia, New Years Eve 2003
And the original DVD cover with the fake princess on it

The Jacksons embrace the digital ape

Opps, I meant to say age. You know, like the stone age, the ice age, the dark age before the wonders of sliced bread?

Had we not embraced the digital age you wouldn't be reading this would you. If we had embraced the any sort of ape we'd probably all smell a lot more like bananas right now wouldn't we. No noisy smelly primates round here thank you very much.

But you gotta admit the little fella is kinda cute. Come here bubbles its hugging time
